ACPI Director
Damian McGreevy brings to ACPI a wealth of government, political, tourism and environmental experience accumulated over a 50 year career encompassing work in both the public and private sectors.
He has operated at senior political levels with both the state and federal governments, including a decade as Deputy Chief of Staff to a state premier and Senior Environmental Advisor to another.
His environmental work encompassed a decade in government field research, mainly focused on land use, biological surveys and species conservation. Promoting the findings of this work through film and mass media followed. Damian has spent the last decade as managing director of his own government relations firm – Damian McGreevy Consulting.
His interest in Super Yachts was triggered by a boom in sea faring tourism in the late ’90s and early 2000s and the employment benefits and economic activity this boom could bring to Australia and Queensland in particular.
Damian has a firm belief that Queensland’s Gold Coast is ideally positioned to become the Super Yacht capital of Australia and to draw significant custom from local and international vessels, plying the Asian Pacific Region.
